Rates & Policies

Day Rate: $250 (including house engineer)
Studio Day Rate: $200 per day (engineer not included*)
Studio Hourly Rate: $35 per hour (including house engineer)
Studio Hourly Rate: $20 per hour (engineer not included*)

Mixing: $200 per song (some stipulations apply)
Editing: $25 per hour

* Engineers new to StoveTopStuff! are required to hire the house engineer as an assistant at $20 per hour.

Studio musicians may be available (at extra charge) on request. Let us know what you need!

NOTE: There is a two hour minimum for the hourly rate. Hourly rates are dependent on availability and any hourly sessions will be bumped if full day sessions are booked.

A deposit of 50% of booked time is required in advance at time of booking. This deposit will not be refunded if the session is cancelled less than two weeks before the date of the session. Exceptions made only for extraordinary circumstances.

Billing for sessions begin at the time the session was booked for, whether or not the client is present, so do make sure you’re on time (but please do not show up early). Billing continues from the session start time until final load out. Gear left overnight will incur an additional charge.

Payment is due in full at the end of the session. Cash or PayPal are accepted. All media remains property of StoveTopStuff! until all invoices are paid in full.

We are not legally or financially liable for any items brought to of left at the studio. This includes digital media (your recordings!). It is extremely important that you back up all your data to multiple locations. Time spent making backups is billable, so budget accordingly. Again, you alone are responsible for the safety of your recordings. We will do everything possible to ensure that nothing bad happens to your data, but we can offer no guarantees.

Blank CD-Rs are available for $1 each.
